• NOW LIVE! Into the Woods--new character species, eerie monsters, and haunting villains to populate the woodlands of your D&D games.

Finally - I've got a 1e game!

I didn't know that cavalier/cleric was an allowable multi-class, but I guess the DM could allow it. Does s/he dual wield horseman's mace's?

Good thing you are the Magic-User, as you are the only one.

Cavalier / Cleric doesn't sound legit, but could be a very fun and realistic (RP-wise) combo.

The drow part...*insert cream-filled pastry here*

Yeah, I'm not sure if cavalier/cleric is legit by the book, either. However, I can't find anything in UA saying how/if the new classes can multiclass. Between that, the drow race, and the fact that I think the player is much more combat than RP oriented, I suspect that the character is going to be very...efficient. Which is fine with me - my mage can stand safely behind him and hold the lantern. Of course, as the only human, I guess I'll often be the only one who NEEDS the lantern. It is vexing that the drow can cast more M-U spells per day than the M-U, but what can ya do? I take comfort in my human nobility. That, and the fact that Oughley won't cry like a baby when he's exposed to the sunlight.
