Is there anything resembling the Warden from 4e? I heard that possibly the Oath of the Ancients sub-class for Paladin might be similar.

Thanks a ton for fielding all the questions!

Can you tell us about the arcane trickster. I heard he has a little spellthief in him also. Can he mix SA with his spells? Is the gnome made for this subclass?

at 17th level they get spellthief - you get blasted by something you force caster to save or you learn the spell for 8 hours and can cast it with your own spell slots

gnome is no better or worse I think

The coolest is definitely a blade-pact warlock with the war caster feat, using his opportunity attack to zap anyone who tries to get away. Yesssss.
Too bad blade-pact warlock's can't attack with their pact blade using Charisma, since they're otherwise stuck with using a lower ability for the attack/damage roll (unless I'm missing something).

hmmm yeah oath of ancients is the same kinda flavour in a different package. he gets some nature spells added to spell list and can turn Fey and Fiend. channel divinity to make nature restrain foes with vines. Aura of warding to get ressitance to spell damage. undying sentanal to not drop when reduced to 0 hp once and finaly elder champion at 20th nature become a force of nature. This one is amazing as all your spells become bonus actions and you get regeneration and force enemies to have disadvantage on saving throws
