Seriously, though, are they planning a 4th edition treatment of Orc & Pie? It's a classic that deserves to be released again. My own party developed from 1st through 7th levels in that adventure. I can still remember the climax scene where our paladin leader sacrificed himself in an attempt to slices the pie into what he called "lawfully equal" shares. :heh: What a heroic, stupid way to go. Doomed to fail in an impossible task. Poor shmuck.

Unfortunately the 4E rules have completely eliminated pie from D&D. This adventure will have to be upgraded to Orc and Demonic Tiefling Pastry.

I'm sure there will be third-party publishers that produce supplements which retain such 3e flavor.

I have it on good authority that they'll be producing a sequel to the Orc and the Pie for 4th edition, called the Modron and Pi.

The old square room was deemed too 3rd edition, so to really spear head what they're calling the "Curve Initiative," the room containing the Modron and Pi will in fact be perfectly round.

That's too radical a change. It wouldn't be pie! We grognards will stay with our pie, thank you.

I dunno, man, Star Wars Saga Edition features a Gammorean guarding some chocolate mousse, and it's fantastic. I think you should give banana pudding and other pseudo-liquids a chance.
