To be honest, I don't see any other outcome with a less than epic party. Spoilers:
Adimarchus has the Blasphemy spell-like ability, at a caster level of 30. This means that any non-evil character of level 20 (within 40 ft.) or below is killed, with no saving throw. Granted, spell resistance applies, but Adimarchus has a +30 modifier on that roll, so he's almost certain to succeed. So, the only characters likely to survive are the possessor of the Sign of the Smoking Eye template, if any, and any evil characters. On the second round, he can then use his Word of Chaos spell-like ability, wiping out any characters who are not also chaotic. I think it's a very unusual group that is going to have more than one survivor from that onslaught. Adimarchus should then be easily able to deal with any remnants.
