I saw the ad for Way of the Wicked in Kobold last week; and looked into it. I have to say, this is the first time I've ever considered running an evil campaign. I've picked up Knot of Thorns and Call Forth Darkness; and I'm anxiously awaiting the rest! I won't have a chance to run it soon, I'm afraid, but once my current campaign wraps up; now I know what I'm going to run next.

Falkus,

Glad you enjoy the campaign. When you run your game, consider posting a journal about it. I for one would love to hear about your game.

Regardless, I am gratified by your kind words.

Who ever would've thought that evil felt so good?

Nice. This would fit right into my dark world ideas, even though our evil PCs ;) aren't totally evil

I think this is a fine point. Though "Way of the Wicked" is unapologetically a villianous campaign (i.e. in this campaign you get to do the sort of things usually relegated to the villains), the amount of raw evil you bring to it is up to you.

Yes, you summon devils, use evil magic, serve Asmodeus and lay waste to those who dare oppose you. But the amount of glee or guilt you bring to the acts of wickedness is entirely in the players' hands.

There are many ways to traverse the Way of the Wicked.

"Way of the Wicked: Call Forth Darkness" has received a second 5-star review this one by featured DriveThruRPG reviewer Shane O'Connor.

I'll let the man speak for himself...

"Overall, this is a book that starts slowly and builds its way up to a truly epic crescendo. While there are some parts that could have been fleshed out better, what’s here is massive in scale and breathtaking in scope. From the all-too-short sections that deal with Farholde (a much more interesting town that it had a right to be) to clearing and refurbishing the dungeon to the incredible dungeon-defense sections to the harrowing conclusion, this is an adventure of grandeur. Throw in the formation of your own evil organization to lord over, and I have to wonder if this campaign hasn’t already hit its high point; certainly this will be a hard act to follow.

"If you haven’t already started to walk the Way of the Wicked, then let this be the reason to begin doing so – you’ll never have so much fun as when you Call Forth Darkness."

And then get ready to hold the Horn of Abaddon. All heaven will rage against your dread purpose. Are you ruthless enough to see this deed done?

For your viewing pleasure another piece of art by maestro Michael Clarke. This is Artephius the alchemical golem broken and wrecked upon the slab. If only there were some way to fix the construct, what a magnificently marvelous murder machine it could become. It could defend you long enough to let you complete your wicked schemes and allow your band of villains to call forth darkness.

How long until it's all published? My players usually don't buy me stuff until it is all out as my groups tend to go through adventures quickly.

Book Three: Tears of the Blessed is coming in April
Book Four: Of Dragons and Princesses is coming in June
Book Five: The Devil My Only Master is coming August
Book Six: The Wages of Sin is coming in October

So by Halloween 2012, the entire adventure path will be completed.
