I really like the new badass Aaron over the whiny ex-alcoholic one. His "birthday party surprise" was excellent!

agreed - aaron up until now has been an annoyance. this showed some interest to his character. zoe turned in to too much of a b---- though; for someone up until now who has been portrayed as level headed/sensible, she went to an irrationally extreme place very quickly ...


though, i have to say, the one flashback scene of him in prison with the daughter visiting ... the thing that happened at the end of that scene.. just seemed like an obvious tack-on to say how much he wants to protect his daughter.. but, really, i think that point was already made and the flashback scene wasn't needed at all. not that it was a bad scene, just seemed forced.

I thought of it more as a "here's how easily he's taunted into getting himself into major trouble" kind of thing.
