I never, ever hope for injuries! Bad karma. Look what has happened to the Giants the last two years on defense. First it was the linebacker and then last year the line. *shiver*

You forgot about Shockey! :p

Rod started it. :p

But yeah, let's get back to football talk - how about them Pats?
Grrr . . . It's so boring to have them dominate year after year.

Anyone else catch the SportsCenter clip where someone from the Lions (I can't remember who) said, "We'll definitely win 10-12 this season"?

Yeah, that was Kitna, their new QB.

And no, I don't find the Patriots' domination boring at all.

Pfft. If the Giants got to play the Jets, Miami and Buffalo twice a year, they'd dominate too. And don't forget that Bill the Slob learned everything he knows from the Bill the Master while he was with the Giants.

Fixed it for ya.

You could make that case for a lot of teams: Ravens playing Pitt, Cleveland, and Cincy; Indy playing Jax, Tenn, and Houston; Chicago playing Detroit, GB, and Minn, etc.

Miami always plays the Pats tough and the Jets are hardly pushover anymore. The East certainly isn't a pushover anymore but citing that as the "reason" the Pats have been successful is incredibly naive.

Master, apprentice - we know where that goes.

Well, this year is their big shot at another title. I'd put them as the favorite for the moment. We'll see how the injuries pan out. San Diego would be my choice but the coach is a big minus. Indy will be a big contender again, too. The AFC is a fantastic conference when you throw the Bengals, Jets, Steelers in that mix. I could see any of them making it to the Super Bowl.

I can't believe I have to do this to a brother fan ... but the Giants play in the NFC. That should be enough if they were truly a good team. And Parcells was the coach 17 years ago. I think we can let that one go. The Pats owe both Belichick & Brady equal credit for their recent success. Bill "The Personality" would have a hard time of things without his All-World QB.
