For those that drink, what's your poison of choice?

I like German beers too.

Occasionally, I'll drink nigh on bloody anything, in the right company. :)

Other than that, sometimes it's a nice pricey (for me) Merlot.

If I'm out at a resturant, I'll have a margarita, frozen & with salt (especially if it's a mexican place, or a place I know that makes a good margarita). That's probably my favorite drink, especially a well made one.

Otherwise, at home or at a place where ordering a margarita would not be a good idea, I'll have a coconut rum and coke. As a Kentuckian, I keep a bottle of Maker's Mark around for special occasions, although I only drink bourbon rarely.

On rare occasion, I'll have a pina colada, but that's very rare, like less than once a year.

I can't stand beer, never had one that didn't make me retch.

probably stick to beer if its just one thing - Fullers Porter is a current favourite (when I can get the stuff), but otherwise there are lots of great beers from small brewers in the UK now.

Wine - a good Gewurztraminer or Riesling for a white or a Cabernet Sauvignon or Syrah for a red.

Whisky - Ardbeg or Talisker

I don't drink much, but if I had to pick one, it would be Hoegaarten (sp?) beer. If I were allowed a second, I'd say vodka on ice with a generous splash of Ribena (blackcurrant concentrate).

Worthington's Creamflow is my primary drink, although I'll also drink red wine (preferably italian) with a meal, and brandy (preferably Remy or Hennessy XO) after it.

glass.

Good call on the white russian - those things rock. Too sweet to be my only ever drink though.

It's a difficult choice for me... It'd need to be something I could drink a lot of. Most likely a medium strength lager - fosters would do - can drink that until the cows come home. If I was feeling unusually civilised a light red or rose might do.

I haven't had a Black and Tan in years... most bars never get it right. Personally I've always loved me some Black and Whites (Harp and Guiness).

If I'm looking for something a little lighter, I'll go with the Harp and Guinness, but I'm a big dark beer fan.

And I've had to teach almost every bartender I know how to make a Black and Tan. There's a good Irish bar downtown in Syracuse that you can get good ones at, but I don't have occassion (or opportunity) to go down there much. Gotta stick with what's close to home.

I really love a glass cabernet-merlot. Haven's makes one that I once had a glass of at a Morton's Steakhouse that is so delicious it makes me want to die.

Also, I'm a girl. As such, I like "girly drinks." I like "girly drinks" a lot.

EDIT: I also have a soft spot in my heart for Wild Turkey.
