Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone discussion thread

As much I would like to hype this game, I have to be honest, I do stand by my previous statement, here , other statements from WOtc forum members, but there is only a few that spoke, but their assesstment is a near accurate truth on what I saw of the game at Gen Con.

The only way, I will play this, if, only if it is giving major upgrades when it comes out in November, but that is cutting it short for PC or Console.

I much prefer the small XBox controllers to the PS2 controllers actually.
Okay, what I meant to say, that when Playstation first came out, the turnoff points were these.

1. Two player port (Saturn, Dreamcast had four) Major

2. No internal memory storage (Saturn had that) Major

3. The controllers of Playstation were plain, not comfortable at all. (Saturn, Dreamcast were to me, oops, this is meant as being comfortable...LOL). Major

4. And oh, their game making software mechanics (for PS) was never friendly to game makers back then. Moderate.

Besides all the games, on the RPG side came out for PS, those points alone prevent me from gaming on that front. And Sony still insults my intelligence with PS2 still having a 2 port player, maybe the next one will have 4, but too little, too late.

You may pick apart this, but nothing else will convince me otherwise

Yeah, a major drawback of the PS2. What were they thinking? Thankfully, RPGs don't need it (and the RPG is my favorite kind of game). What a mistake.

A feature, not a bug, in my book. Transportable memory cards are far superior and allow more flexibility (eg. transport game saves, such as cars in a racing game, to a friend's). The Saturn internal memory is woefully inadequate.

Again, I've only heard that here, for the very first time. I consider the Dual Shock to be the epitome of all controllers. (And you've just pointed out a couple of the worst controllers designed - there's a reason why the DC controller has picked up the name "Ugly Ass Cow Controller".) But, that's all just personal preference.

Whew! Thankfully the programmers overcame that hurdle by a longshot, looking at a lot of the games that have come out. And it's a good thing I'm not a programmer, so it's completely irrelevant to me.

I will! But only because it's slow here at the office today. (Though I'm not trying to convince you of anything, as we all have our own preferences and priorities when it comes to game systems - all just as valid as the other.)
