Hot Take About FR & DL & Mystara: They are novel settings first, TTRPGs second (or in FRs case TTRPG is third after video games), and that should be taken into account when making setting books for these settings to appeal to the greatest amount of potential customers. It's a mistake only market these books for TTRPG fans, don't leave DADHAT, Drizzt novel, Elminister, Farieh, Evaris Cale novel fans out of marketing.

On the contrary, all of those were grounded in RPG play.

FRs development predates D&D, it was designed for Ed Greenwood to tell stories, the D&D stuff was added later.

And let's be honest whereever the intent, these setting tradition sold and made far more novel and video game content then TTRPG content, far more people read fantasy novels then play D&D.

I'm just saying these folks should not be forgotten, they should be marketed to as well as well as fans of DADHAT.

I think the Calimport guide will be spicy, Sharess has one of, if not the biggest Temple in the capital city, The Feasthall of Eternal Delights (Feasthall was code word for Brothel , created back when FR writers couldn't say Brothel or have gay characters).
