Forgotten Realms Player Guide

D&D (2024) Forgotten Realms Player Guide

Thri-Kreen were in FR before Dark Sun ever existed. They're a first edition critter. I don't even recall them being a thing in Spelljammer and I loved old school Spelljammer.

Did not know that Thrikeen were first edition, but I don't think Thrikreen were mentioned in FR until later, but I could be wrong.

My general point still stands.

Most of Eberrons races gave been legal options in organized play in FR at some point or other.

Given that at least one piece of MtG art ended up in the new PHB, I wonder how much MtG art will go into these books to save costs. There is alot of great art from the MtG FR sets and Commander Decks that could go in easily. Not all of the art or even half will be MtG art, but maybe a 5th to a 4th will be my guess.

It'd make sense to reuse the MtG art for the dnd books especially since, as you say, they had an FR set.

They had three D&D MtG sets, although 2 were linked with alot of common cards. Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, Commander Legends: Battle For Baldur's Gate, and Alchemy Horizons: Baldur's Gate.

So alot of art they can milk, not for everything, regional art, maps, and creatures & NPCs not in those sets will need new art of course. I want Elminsters Borderless art on the FRPG or the FRAG.

Okay just read that surviving owlbear attacks survival guide or whatever it's calls. Abit of new tidbits on Calimshan and Red Wizards. I now agree with those saying the Red Wizard faction will be the outsider Wizards Red Wizards.
Do you mean the anti-Szass Tam rebels who call themselves the Thayan Resurrection? Like Syranna from Dead in Thay and Rath Modar from Tyranny of Dragons?
