Fort Knocks - knight otu judging

If the Hoar Sons are all mounted, then they should have no trouble catching us up on the road. Normally I would prefer not to split the group, but if the way is relatively safe, as I believe Jenrald said it is, then I would prefer haste over caution in this instance. Otherwise we would be the ones slowing down the Hoar Sons.

OOC: Artax will take the dagger and the less charged of the two wands, should I add them to my character sheet for the duration of the adventure? If logistics prohibits splitting the group, that's fine, but in that case could we just skip to the next morning?

OOC: Someone, at this stage I don't want to split and complicate the storyline when we've already bogged down because of the weekend

OOC: I don´t intend to derail anything, just to say what Nodis does this day and have a reason to keep posting until the main storyline continues.

Andrew says, "I don't think we will need an entire day's rest, but those who are impatient could certainly start out now, and we will catch up after nightfall. I'm sure a few hours off our feet digesting a good meal will have us on the road soon."

[ooc: sorry, DM's block. Please add the items you will be carrying to your character sheets. Also, you mighjt want to decide if you plan to stop in any of the major cities on theway to the stonespikes for additional supplies or not.]

I will need travelling rations at some point, but find myself rather short of money, and I doubt we will want to take the time necessary to forage. Artax's face turns a bit red. Though I suppose I could sell my everburning torch, it seemed like such a resonable purchase at the time...

"Excellent!" Eusebius rubs his hands together briskly. "So then, it is settled? Those of us who are rested will make a start straight away. The rest will follow. If you are happy with the arrangement, Jenrald, I will leave the horse Kirin loaned me for one of the Hoar Suns to ride this day. Perhaps I will reclaim it on the morrow. We will see."

Eusebius then picks up a vial of holy water and two vials of oil, and stores them about his person, then distributes the other magic items to their respective holders. Disappearing in the direction of his room, he returns fully equipped and with longspear over his shoulder. As he moves expectantly towards the door he says, "Shall we go, my friends? Our duty calls - and we would be true to our word!"

Striding through the doorway, he reappears a moment later, looking a little sheepish. "Ah, I just remembered - Jenrald, can I purchase some travelling rations from the hospice? I have but two day's rations on hand, and if I understand Rurik aright, it will be a journey of some distance to reach our destination."

"Artax, I have enough funds to purchase six day's rations - at the going rate. We could share those, and you could repay me later."

OOC: Added items to character sheet. What about the spare vials of holy water - should Nodis carry those?

(ooc: Added items to character sheet: oil of magic stone, vial of holy water, potion of hide from undead. Nodis can´t carry much more: he´s on the light load limit)

"Aye, Good enough, then. We'll see ye a' camp. 'Appy 'untin!"

Rurik, his holy water safely packed, steps toward the door after Eusebius, the better to get an early start on packing his new horse and climbing atop it.

Skeeter approaches the boy, "Er. I see you have both the potions. Would you mind if I held onto one. I am not too excited about the possibility of leaving my horse to go stomping through an undead infested mine. If it turns out that I don't need it, or you more than I, I will return it to you."

Then walks over to the table to claim the two remaining vials of holy water, and some leaftovers for his growling belly. I just can't seem to keep you full, can I?

Jenrald smiles. "We would be happy to provide you all with some traveling food, but to be honest this gathering is taxing our stores. There should be a few good sized towns on your route however."
