Fort Knocks - knight otu judging

Rurik's face wrinkles at the question. "Sure, likely ta be more of 'em inside, an' more. Mebbe ye need ta take that rest first, fer gettin' yer 'ead together."

To further emphasize the point, Rurik sets his pack down and fixes to build a campfire.

Eusebius accepts the proffered dagger with thanks. "My fists do not seem to be having much effect against these creatures."

As Rurik begins to lay a fire, Eusebius frowns and says, "A campfire? Do we not run the risk of attracting their attention? Just how much time do you need, Nodis? I, for one, would be happy to take the fight to these ... things ... as soon as possible."

"Euh, not much, only a minute or two, at most" says Nodis. "I actually feel great, you know, only need to catch my breath, to say it in some way. No need for a campfire."

"And I know there must be more of them inside, I was actually thinking on just around the cart waiting for us"

[Edit: I'm approved at level 4 now, by both Knight Otu and Nimisgod.]

Rurik looks up from his ring of stones at the others. No fire is blazing as yet, but it wouldn't take much time to start one.

"They ain't gonna move that wagon, an' if'n they can, we best not go in.

So, which is't? We ready'r not?
"

Rurik takes a sip from his waterskin.

um, ok, I think we're in one of those moments where I'm waiting for you and you're waiting for me. :heh:

When Nodis has centered himself, the group moves towards the fort again. When you get withing 20 feet or so of the gates, the sharper eared amoung you are fairly sure there are more undead just inside and behind the wagon. Perhaps not so much hiding as milling out of sight, but there.

(That´s a way to say "certainly not Nodis")

The boy is startled when he´s stopped and hears the news. "So what are we going to do? Charge inside or bring them here?"

Funny, I thought she meant Rurik.

So do we count as leveled for this (upcoming) battle?

Rurik takes his place at the front of the party, ready with his preferred axe and shield to defend against the next wave of undead. He inclines his head toward the rest of the party, and does his best to whisper:

"Ye keep eyes out, now, 'n case they come at us from 'round back. An' stay be'ind me."

Rurik then attempts to squeeze past the wagon and into the compound. Once there, he looks and listens to make sure the coast is clear:

Spot Check (1d20=10)
Listen Check (1d20=5)

If Rurik is not immediately set upon by hostiles, he'll motion the rest of the party forward past the wagon.

[Rurik's certainly not trying the door just yet. He wants to make sure that none of the zombies are outside, behind the building. Just the basic map of the building and surrounding area would be a help.]

Brother Eusebius, human monk 2

OOC:
So, dpdx, if you look at the map included in this post, is Rurik squeezing past the wagon at D9 or at D12?

What about this for an order: Rurik, Eusebius, Nodis in the middle, and Artax bringing up the rear - ready to step forward to heal or to blitz the baddies. When we can spread out, perhaps if R & E take the front rank and N and A take the second? What do you think?

"Lead on, brave heart! We will protect your back, and together we will bring destruction to these abominations."
