I lost my entire account myself.

So, general damage report - what else did people use, maybe we'll be able to use Google or something to try and re-build the archive or something. I was on another forum site which had a similar problem (except caused by a hacker), and we recovered those threads we thought lost that way.

I've got a question - just what was it that made ENWorld go down? - the database were just corrupted with no warning? That seems to be what I've understood so far..

edit - forgot to mention that I'm very glad that you were able to restore the site, even if we lost 4.5 months of posts.. Now you can get your daily fix again!

Twin Rose was doing something with the database, and it got corrupted/was corrupted already and bad stuf happened. This thread has more details.

Yeah well at least this time around not everyone has 20K postings. I just need to get another...2-3k and I'm closer to the top. Since I've got more free time being unemployed, plan on making the most of it. When I'm not sleeping.
