Four Arms, please help

Oh, and it is my opinion that tempest should not apply to multi-armed creatures. Their fighting style is entirely different and requires different feats and greater coordination so as not to chop their own arms off.

Just get the feats. They are (with the exception of the last) in the non-epic feats section of the epic level handbook.

Multitasking is more geared towards spellcasters.
As I understood it, each of your non-primary hands is an offhand. If you have multiweapon fighting and multidexterity it is the same has having two weapon fighting and ambidexterity for a normal character.

That is to say you normally get X number of attacks with your primary hand +1 attack for your offhand. Multiweapon and Multidexterity work the same way. X attacks with your primary +1 attack for each of your off-hands.

So your four armed horned cat flying purple people eater would get 1 attack with his primary hand and 1 additional attack with each of his off hand's for 4 total attacks.

Should he ever qualify for improved multiweapon fighting (like improved two weapon fighting), he will get 2 additional attacks for each offhand.

Should he ever qualify for greater multiweapon fighting (like greater two weapon fighting), he will get 3 additional attacks for each off hand.

Should he every qualify for perfect multiweapon fighting (like perfect two weapon fighting), he will get a number of attack with each offhand equal to the number of attack he gets with his primary hand from base attack bonus and he will instantly be smited from above for his insanely inaccurate ECL of +1.

Clear as mud? Good.

so, you're sayin that all three of his hands are offhands?
I see what you mean by the multitasking spell thingy

If you're saying that all three of his hands are offhands, then wouldn't that kinda go against two weapon fighting?

I'm kinda slow right now

and confused:confused:

Basically, yeah. If you have four arms, one of them is your primary and the rest are off-hands. The Marilith is the perfect example of this.

I'm not sure what you mean. You don't actually need Ambidexterity and Two-Weapon Fighting to attack with both your primary and off-hand(s). Those feats just lower the penalties for doing so. Ambidexterity and Two-Weapon Fighting only apply to creatures with two arms. If you have more than two arms, you need Mulitdexterity and Multiweapon Fighting. They don't go against one another. It's just all about the numbers.

That's why multiweapon fighting replaces two weapon fighting. Because it doesn't make sense for a four-armed creature to use two weapon fighting.

Greater Multiweapon Fighting [General]
A creature with three or more hands can fight with a weapon in each hand. The creature can make up to three attacks per round with each extra weapon.
Prerequisites: Dex 19, three or more hands, Improved Multiweapon Fighting, Multiweapon Fighting, Multidexterity, base attack bonus +15.
Benefit: You may make up to three extra attacks with each extra weapon you wield, albeit at a -10 penalty.
Special: This feat replaces the Greater Two-Weapon fighting feat (originally posted in Masters of the Wild) for creatures with more than two arms (and functions identically to that feat if you have fewer than three arms).

So yes. A thri-kreen with 4 weapons and greater multiweapon fighting with a base attack bonus of +15 would attack 3 times with each of his 4 arms. 1 of his arms being the primary, the other 3 being off-hands.

No, no, no! The Marilith is the perfect example of "If you have six arms, one of them is your primary and the rest are off-hands"!
