Wel, as one of the authors of Nat20's Supers book, I can say that no offense was taken. Sure, the original post was confident and had a little bit of braggadocio, but I've seen much more grandiose posts by Fiery Dragon, and I love those guys. So don't worry about it.
Oh, and as for the analogy, it's more like Russ and I are sewing tights and capes for you to put on your D&D/Spycraft/etc. Teddy Bears, while a lot of other people are making new Teddy Bears. If you love your current Teddy Bear, we give you the option of just buying a cool costume for it, but you should always feel free to try out a new plush animal.
Or maybe it's more like, Mr. Detwiller is handing out bottles of whiskey at a party, while Nat20 is spiking the punch.
Or perhaps rather Nat20 is herding cats into the "Big-Red-S Ranch," while FDP, GR, and the others are building giant mecha cats out of the finest modern technology. And slinkies. You can never go wrong with slinkies.
Please note that the second part of this post was wholly intended to just be humorous and silly. If I have offended anyone (such as if you were horribly scarred as a child by an accident involving a slinky, or if you take umbrage that I would imply you play with Teddy Bears), just pretend that all the offensive words are instead the word "pie." Pie makes everything better.
