D&D 5E Freeform Magic System for 5e?

Has anyone tried to do an adaptation of one of the more freeform magic systems done for 3e for 5e? I remember there were at least two such systems - Green Ronin's True Sorcery (which I think was originally in the Black Company setting book) and Monte Cook's d20 version of the World of Darkness.

Don't forget Elements of Magic by EnWorld's RangerWickett (Ryan Nock).

I haven't seen anything comparable for 5E, though there have been stray comments about the idea.
