Frenzied Berserker WTF

I'm nerfing my archer right now, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.

Ripper, it might be cool if you start those kinds of sentences with "I think." That'll help avoid arguments from people who disagree. Thanks.

Thanks. :D

The Frenzied of my group can kill Tarrasque in 2 rounds :( .

Better yet, make it "I feel". Everyone knows all feelings are equally valid no matter how little basis they have in fact, so no one will ever be able to disagree with you.

For example: I feel that prefacing an obvious statement of opinion made on a discussion forum with "I think" in order to minimize disagreement is not only redundant but also damn silly.

The only Frenzied Berserker I've ever faced as a player, we did a bunch of damage to, and then all flew (by varying means) out of reach until it died.

The current solution to the FB's power attack is the Tactical Feat from the same book that negates power attacks from the target of your dodge. Someone with that could seriously piss off a FB.

That's not a fix ... that means you need to take a specific feat to face one of these guys. Not every fighter will have it, a cleric or wizard almost certainly won't have it, etc...

[qute=ruleslawywer]Except that any "munchkin" stupid enough to take this class will wind up killing off his party. It's not a very good PC option, more a BBEG fighter build.[/quote]

That might work in BoED, but CW allegedly is interested in balance. That means no using easily-avoided RP penalties to balance things.

(Mind you, killings things while in a frenzy is hardly RP in the classic sense... ;) )

But this isn't an RP issue; it's an issue of balancing the FB's danger to opponents against the danger to his allies. That's a mechanics issue, as I see it.

I've been meaning to add a famous lone NPC adventurer to my campaign setting. He would be truly infamous, known for one minute saving a villiage from a deadly beast for no reward, only to slaughter the same villiagers the next day. Tales of his selfless deeds and horrendous atrocities would be told by bards across the land, and when the PCs finally meet him, he seems like a great fellow, probably a barbarian due to his recklessness, so they would travel with him for a while. Then, the fun would begin. :D
