Frostburn looking good

WotC's bitch
Haven't had the chance to go through it in detail, but a quick skim indicates it's not too bad. As you'd expect, a lot of the crunch is highly specific to cold regions, but that's exactly what I want from a book like this. Has anyone else got it yet?

A copy showed up at my house unexpectedly this week. I don't think I would have bought it, but it does seem to be a nice collection of material. Think of it as an expansion to the DMG (new terrain information including "ice dungeon" type features such as ice stairs, ice/cold-related traps, etc.; plus new magic items), PHB (races, spells, feats), and the MM (new monsters). Plus it has some fairly fleshed out adventure locations with maps and NPCs etc.

Darn, Eric, you're still on WotC's goody-list? :)

The thing I'd like to know most is - do you feel like there's anything that I would be ABSOLUTELY missing from this book over the 3.5 DMG, if I wanted to run an arctic setting or one-off?

It was odd -- it's my first freebie in almost a year. Frankly I wondered why they kept me on the list even that long!
Could it have something to do with "...and you owe Eric $10,000," I wonder?

Hong...you lucky sob. :p

Well, you know, we here in Austria are south of the international date line, so we're one day (or, during daylight saving months. 23 hours) ahead of everyone else.
