Frukathka Reflects On His Time At ENWorld

I posted this in Rel's Reflection Thread and decided it needed it own space.

I do have a gaming life and I acquaint with those people, but I wouldn't call them friends. To me a friend is someone who hangs by your side through the good and the bad. I consider many people here to be my friends, and having got to meet some of them at GenCon this year lit up my life. I only have three really good friends and they know well enough when I need support. I would like to thank everyone here for helping me have a moral compass, because sometimes I can stray. I even get depressed and can hurt. I am human. We all are. But we are all here for each other. I hope ENWorld lasts till the end of time.

Consider this my feelings about the community and wht my last 7,000+ posts have led up to. Thank you, thak all of you, for helping me help myself.

Hang in there buddy. "Things can only get better" (Howard Jones)

But never turn down a heart-felt offer of help.

And never pass up an opportunity to pull a fast one on your players. Keeps them on their toes. :D

Hey, Frukathka, I just want to agree with your thoughts on the community- it's great. I've met a good number of our members- most of them rather infamous ones, like diaglo, Alsih2o, Angelsboi (back in the day), this one lurker guy Crothian and a certain kitty with an eyepatch. I've regretted none of those meetings, and count myself lucky to have such a great community to spend tons of time with.

I think you're right about the strength of the community and the general coolness of the folks here. I want to thank everyone here for being so darn cool...

As for you, Frukathka- here's hoping we can get together next year for Burning Man!

I agree with this one. Helping out our fellows is what is important and brings us together as a whole.

Hey, it was good meeting and working the booth with you at Gen Con. :D
Thanks. I had a blast hanging out with you. I was so in shock about getting to work with you that when I did, I was afraid of making a spectacle of my, so I tried to stay clammed up. Anyway Croth, you are one of the people that I have the utmost respect for and consider you to be one of my many ENWorld friends.

May the skies shine bright (but not too bright, it is already hot enough here in AZ), may Mount Celestia smile upon all gamers, let time heal all wounds and may the righteous walk the path of true heroes. There is a special place in Mount Celestia for all gamers, and let those that have been pure at gaming roll natural twenties for all time. Amen.

I look forward to it as well!

Bah, everyone knows Crothian is really a 'bot, you don't fool me.... And the aye-patched kitty never fully recovered from having his paws scrapped on the rocky surface of Iceland by a ponny. Diaglo's hat has no d02 limit, and Alish2o just potters around. ;)

RIP, Angelsboi :(

I do have something to say!

I'm very disappointed I've never had a chance to meet you! I've met quite a few ENnies, but reading your post makes me sad that I haven't been able to afford GenCon in years ... Heck, the last time I went put me in debt. ;_;

I've met Teflon, played in one of PirateCat's games (man I had so much fun playing a jerk in that one), I've worked closely with Morrus, Rangerwickett, Hellhound, Dextra ...

And recently I've gotten to depend on you, Lady Acoma, Rel--all those who post regularly in my thread. Lady Acoma has taken to IMing me when she gets the chance ...

Your words fall not on deaf ears! I too feel as though what I've started here in EN World is going to mean something. It already does! If we never meet in person, I always know that I can still count you among my buds. ^_^
