D&D 5E Full D&D Adventurers League is for Americas only...

Third part of D&D Adventurer's League is Epics. These are major, one-off events that are important points in the campaign. D&D Epic debuting at GenCon is also going to be available at PAX Prime, DragonCon, and FanExpo Canada. D&D Epics heavily inspired by battle interactives for previous Living campaigns.

Looking to highlight efforts of individuals on Epics; when you participate in an epic, your character has the potential to walk away changed.

A goal is to build a[n Americas] community with a shared experience. Want to have players recognize the awesome deeds of other players.

So how can the rest of the world partake in these epic tales...

It is frustrating, but WotC isn't deliberately trying to exclude countries outside their own. I'm sure they'd be delighted if 30 million Chinese folks started playing D&D tomorrow.

I find it frustrating, too. I miss out on almost everything, also. I've never had the luxury of a FLGS, and likely never will.

But any company in any country struggles to make it's brand worldwide. And RPGs are pretty darn niche.

So I would say embrace online play and cater to the rest of the world with minimal effort!

I would say the rest of the world needs to organize some conventions. WotC doesn't make the conventions appear, y'know! It's a bit unfair to blame WotC just because there isn't a major tabletop gaming convention near you. I'm sure there will be some OP stuff at UKGE here in England next year; maybe even at Dragonmeet. I don't know where you are, but maybe consider trying to organize a connection there? I'm sure WotC won't refuse to let you register it for OP stuff.

While not technically a convention, Lucca Comics & Games is huge and, last year, Pathfinder had many tables to promote the Italian version of the Beginner Box.

Lucca would be, IMO, a great venue for those events, but unfortunately, the Italian branch of WotC exists only to take care of MtG organized play. They don't even distribute Magic in Italy and they are basically almost unaware of D&D.

First, US based international postage rates would have to be lowered to make materials more affordable to send. That's not happening without involving politics and a LOT of it.

Second, I would not be surprised if WotC was not able to send materials to countries where they have sold the rights to publish non-english language editions of the game.

So I would say embrace online play and cater to the rest of the world with minimal effort!
Online play only caters to a small % of the rest of the world.

Sure, cheap and reliable internet access might not be available to the majority of the world, but there are certainly huge markets in Asia (for example, China, like Morrus mentioned, but also a dozen countries) where there's no obvious economic reason why tabletop roleplaying couldn't have a bigger market share.

Edit: And not just in Asia. The world is changing fast, and internet access is expanding every year.

I feel the same way, which is why I'm running vault if the dracolich in our local con a week before gencon.

The main problem right now is that we have no one to talk to and we have no information about translations rights, with a bit of guts and determination English speaking folks can run an OP event wiith minimal preparation time on the adventure side, it's not that easy for us non-English speaking folks.
