I wonder if there will be a lore update for orcs on the orc demigods that would warrant their omission from MotMV similar to the Drow rework for non-Llothian drow? I am not seeing anything that tugs at me to purchase this when it is sold singly. I am disappointed in the lack of inclusion of monsters from the various Adventure path books. A bit of a miss I think, but nice enough for a gift pack.

One further question on this, which I've seen speculation on, but nothing official from WotC that I've seen: Will future adventures draw from monsters from this book in addition to the MM? I know the initial assumption for adventures was that they would draw from the MM only, but it sure would be nice to have all the additional options available. And it would save room reprinting them in the back of adventures like they are now.

It is useful for newbies, or people who only care about monsters and not all the other stuff in VGM or MTF.
I mean, it is a bit more convenient carrying around two monster books rather than three, or not erroneously grabbing Volo's when the monster is in Mordenkainen's (and vice versa). But those are pretty minor reasons. I'll probably still get it for the convenience of having all its contents in one place (and keep my special editions in better shape), but I can definitely see why others would pass.

Yeah, I'll be passing, but it seems a legit product for certain people.
