I think he got it off CW's website. here is the link http://www.velocity.net/~westwinds/

Yep, that's where I got it. There's also a .PDF preview of 4 pages on Green Ronin's site. http://www.greenronin.com/cgi-bin/product.cgi?prodid=1026

As far other questions, the book is not full color, but the maps are printed full color on the inside covers. If I remember correctly, the inside front is exactly as shown above, and the inside back is a zoom in of the actual Thieves' Quarter (the part of the city just north of the bay). There's also a bunch of maps of building interiors as well as player versions of the main maps.

As to the size of the city, I'm pretty sure it was definately a metropolis, I want to say the population was around 70,000, but don't quote me.

All of the maps in the PDF version are full color for those who are wondering. The maps make good clip-n-paste material for adventures.

The map looks really great, but the town seems to be quite small. It isn't crowded enough for my tastes. How many inhabitants does it say it has?

Population: 86,000.

As far as been crowded or not, a lot of the space within the walls is taken up by water -- which means the land that's left has more people than one might think.

Compared to Waterdeep, which is 1 mile x 2 miles and has a pop. of 130,000, Liberty is 3/4 mile x 1/2 mile with it's pop. of 86,000. Taking the water into account (and the City of the Dead into account for Waterdeep), I'd say this means Liberty is substantially more crowded than Waterdeep.

To me, the population seems about right to keep it interesting.
