Game open! [see recruiting thread]

First Post
I was thinking about running a PBP or PBEM in a homebrew world I've been working on.
This is NOT a recruitment thread, simply a call out to gamers to see what kind of interest is out there.
My Gaming style tends to be towards the sword & sorcery end rather than heavy roleplaying, although there will be RP opportunities. If this adventure is sucessful, there is a possibility for a campaign based off of it.
What kind of info would you (the player) want to see if you were interested?

Like what sort of things would potential players need to know?

1. Include the pertinent details the players should know for character creation/concepts.

2. Any house rules in play.

3. Optional published rules or splatbooks in use.

4. Character creation guidelines (point buy or DM rolls, or what have you)

5. Level of characters (and if higher than 1st level, rules for determining items, hit points, etc)

6. Number of players

7. How you plan to determine who gets in

That should get things rolling I imagine.

For this particular game / world / adventure: Humans are by far the dominant race, dwarves are basically non-existant, as are elves, half-elves and half Orcs. This may change later. There are small pockets of gnomes and halflings around.

No major house rulles other than the races issue. This is currently low to mid magic setting, meaning there are mages and sorcerers but there are NOT those of, say, Bigby's calibre.

I only own the Core rules. if you want to add in something, I would need the details.

28 point-buy as detailed in the dm's guide, full starting HP and gold, Buy any equipment you need / want with that.

All players start at level 1 in their chosen field.

Well, thinking between 4 and 6, possibly as high as 8 but that would be pushing it for the adventure and my skills.

1. Party balance. This in a adventure that will NEED balance, although an extra swor or two might not hurt.
2. True-to-character stats. avoid min/maxing or power-gaming. Point-buy helps with this but does not solve it completely.
3. Character individuality. Avoid "bob the barbarian" and other cookie-cutter characters. The more "special" your character is, the better (but don't go way out in left field either).
4. fits into the "landscape" as-is and can help it grow.

Wow...gang's all here. I like the low fantasy feel. And hey MPS, we're all team players here.
Looks like a rogue/dex based fighter may fit in well. And most splat book feats I'm into wouldn't come into play until 6+ lvls. anyways, so no worries about core rules. Sound good?

Well, Like i said, this is NOT a recruiting thread, more work to do before I get to that point but, I AM interested in running this SOON.
Next really vauge question: What world info would you want and in what depth?
I guess the point I'm trying to get at is I have no idea what I'm doind running a PBP. It FEELS different. It seems like I need to *plan* more than "wing-it", which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Where's the "complete idiots guite to running a PBP"? :P

oooo oooo
I'll join, I'll join.
I'm always looking for a new game :D

And, I'm up for filling in with what ever need we might have for balancing the group.

I am definitely interested...
game info for a beginning 1st level party would most likely only be about the place that they start out in...A little of the local area...really depends on how information travels and how fast it travels in your world. Also a beginning party would only know as much info as they have skills in those areas.
I prefer 3.0, but could work in the 3.5 ruleset.
