So, not long ago buzz had his big thread on games you want to run someday; my own list of games I'd like to play is quite different from the games I'd like to run, though. In fact, I'd be very unlikely to want to actually run any of these, but they sound really fun to play. So, heck, I better start a new thread!
Here's a few off the top of my head:
Here's a few off the top of my head:
- Dark●Matter, run under the original Alternity system.
- A good Diamond Throne campaign that wandered about the continent for a fair bit.
- Same with Iron Kingdoms or Eberron.
- A Planescape conversion to 3e or 3.5 running some of the classic modules like the Great Modron March and Dead Gods, and then just letting us explore the planes for fun.
- A Conan game with Mongoose's shiny new system.
- A Star Wars game that was removed (in time) from the movies sufficiently that we could strike out on our own a fair amount. Actually, I could probably run that too.
- Any game utilizing The Window; a system about which I'm very curious. The posturing of the author is tiresome, but mechanics-wise, I think he's on to something. I'd do any type of setting here.
- A fantasy horror game ala Cthulhu in fantasy. The new rules in Darkness and Dread from FFG are probably entirely appropriate here.
