So how long are we going to wait for rgpramen to post for Sebastian?

I'd hate this game to lose all it's momentum since we're waiting on 1 player...

Well, I was about to go update the IC thread anyways and say that he 'delays' when I found this back on page 19 of this thread:

Excuse my belatedness. Been busy, as I mentioned earlier. Don't have time to post or anything, but I figured I'll try and answer some of the Factotum-esque questions pitched.

Yes, the Bear's SR is down until the start of the next round (or the start of Sabastian's next round, if Jemal is looking at more of a full-spectrum point-of-view) and will continue to auto-fail Spell Resistance-based things. Its DR is also nil till' the start of the next turn, so have at it.

As per Sabastian's next turn, he'll attempt to escape the grapple via Escape Artist if possible. If not, he'll draw steel and wail on the furry fiend till' it lets go or kills him.

SO apparently we've been waiting on nothing, as i'd missed his 'busy' post. Apologies to all, I'll have a new update up soon.

Three questions:

how does empower spell work as far as damage calculation goes? PHB's entry wasn't helpful at all: 1-1/2 per magic missile? what?

is drawing the empower rod a move action or not?

Sila can get all three bad guys with the Cone right?

And a fourth bonus question: when we kill them we can use their items right? Mmmm, rod of metamagic quicken :)

To calculate damage with Empower Spell, you take half of the rolled damage, and add it to the total of the rolled damage.

For example:

I cast Empowered Fireball. I roll 10d6, and come up with total of 30 points of damage. Half of 30 is 15. I therefore add 15 points of damage to the 30, to get a total of 45 points of damage. My Empowered Fireball does 45 points of damage.

I've also seen it done where an Empowered spell just increases the number of dice rolled by 50%. That's not technically accurate, but it can be faster and easier. In that case you'd roll 15d6 instead of 10d6. But don't do it this way unless Jemal actually tells you to. :)

Rathan, Force Orb isn't subject to Spell Resistance. That's why you got pegged.

This may seem off topic but did any one know that golems are not immune to magic? They are immune to spellas and spell-like abilities that allow SR. It seems that there are spells out there that do not allow SR. Sorry I just felt like i'm not posting enough in this game.

Flesh and Voidrazor - Both excellent (even though off-topic *L*) points.

Myth -
Empower: Roll damage normally, then multiply by 1.5

If you have a spell that splits its damage among multiple targets or attacks (Magic missile), roll each and multiply each individually by 1.5

Magic Missile Example:
1d4+1=3, 1d4+1=5, 1d4+1=3, 1d4+1=5, 1d4+1=3 So that's 3, 5, 3, 5, 3. Empowered would be 4, 7, 4, 7, 4.

Drawing a rod is like drawing a weapon. It's a move action unless you have the quick draw feat. ALSO, you can combine 'drawing a weapon', and 'moving' into a single move action if you have a BAB of at least +1 (Which I'm pretty sure most 20th lvl characters have)

Rathan
As Shayuri allready pointed out, they were force orbs (Though anybody who didn't make the spellcraft check wouldn't know that).
Also please don't put JUST ooc comments in the IC thread.

Finally, what was this roll for?
1d20+28=37, 1d20+28=32 Rolled 48 seconds before the roll you linked in the IC thread.. same name, same numbers...

Myth - Two more things..
1: I don't agree with admixing an energy onto itself, I'd prefer if you used what the feat was designed for.. mixing TWO energies together.

2: Yes your cone of cold will hit all three of them, as well as Chevik, Adamas, and Sabastian (Though mastery of shaping will help there).

I'll be giving the bear a reflex bonus as you are shaping half of his area away to avoid the two he's grappling. (I didn't do this for the meteor swarm b/c it was an attack roll).
