Gauntlets of Destruction: Proposed Errata?

First Post
The introduction of the Brutal Keyword brings an interesting conundrum to the Gauntlets of Destruction so I propose the following Errata for the Gauntlets of Destruction

Code:
Gauntlets of Destruction Level 18+
Item Slot: Hands Level 18 85,000 Level 28 2,125,000
Property: Level 18: When rolling damage on melee attacks, reroll all 1s until they come up as something other than a 1
Level 28: Your melee weapons increase their Brutal value by 1, weapons without the Brutal keyword gain Brutal 2

I'd be careful about that errata. It could create problems. Imagine a Brutal 1 weapon that does 2d4 damage. With those gauntlets, you'd be rerolling 50% of the dice. Could get annoying.

There's no way to know whether this would actually make a different in-game without knowing what weapons have Brutal built into them. But in general, I'm leery of making things like this stack without knowing for sure what the consequences will be.

When I see 'errata' in a thread title, I expect to see a link to a WotC update, or a comment (complaint, whatever) about a WotC 'update' - not a house rule you think WotC should adopt.

It is possible that brutal will be reserved only for weapons with very large numerical ranges, to avoid unexpected synergy with vorpal. :)

Actually, if there was any update I expect, it would be more like this

Gauntlets of Destruction Level 18+
Item Slot: Hands Level 18 85,000 Level 28 2,125,000
Property: Any weapon you wield gains the Brutal:1 property. This does not stack with any existing brutal property the weapon already has.

The default in 4e is pretty much "it doesn't stack", not the other way around, as anyone who wanted to use a greataxe can tell you.
