Gencon buzz seems much less than last year

As for Gen Con, I was hoping to make it, but I can't this year.

I agree there was a lot of buzz last year. A lot of that had to do with the move to Indy and the release of 3.5 though. There are a lot of great products coming out this year and attendance may actually go up, so buzz or not, Gen Con is going strong.

GenCon buzz-Yes, alot less than last year. ANd from the looks of things here, there are less people than last year as well. Wednesday night last year was pretty rocking in the center, even though it was the night before. Tonight, there are lots of people here, but not as many as last year.

While I agree that the ENnies voting period was kinda short, I still think it's great. It opened my eyes to tbe brilliance of Sidewinder: Recoiled and other stuff from less known publishers. Sure a lot of stuff isn't going to get nominated but the judges have made the best choice given the time they have.

I didn't know that. I thought I read somewhere that attendance was up. Maybe it has to do with the registration nightmare last year on Saturday. I saw A LOT of people waiting in line in the sun that morning and I'm sure it got worse later. There seemed to be fewer people in the exhibit hall on Saturday than on Friday. Saturday is supposed to be the big day. That really sucked for sales.

Of course, any Gen Con is a blast and I'm so sorry to miss out this year. I went the two years before and had a fantastic time each year. So I'm really jealous of everyone who's going!

Well, I hope to attend next year and I'm sure it will be great!
