Gencon UK - opinions sought

I'm jealous of all the fun stuff happening at GenCon (Piratecat's Dread game, Ao the Overkitty's All Flesh Must be Eaten, Star Wars SAGA fun etc) I can't get to and was wondering what the GenCon UK is like. I've not got any vibe from the boards about it:

So far the big thing that stands out for me is stuff like the prelude to the RPGA SAGA home campaign.

Is it worth attending, or should I hold off for DragonMeet. or another UK Con - suggestions/reviews appreciated?
Is there much of an ENWorld presence at GenCon UK

Given that it's in Reading, which is a lot more convenient (to say the least) than Minehead, and given that I'm holiday that week *anyway*... I think there's a good chance I'll check it out. But it will be my first time so I can't really help with the 'is it any good' thing. :)

Gen Con UK is no Gen Con US, but it's definitely the biggest event for roleplaying in the UK. It's probably 10 times the size of Dragonmeet (which is a terrific show in its own right, just on a different scale). If it tempts you, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

There's lots of cool stuff added to the schedule recently. There's a game based on Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next books, there's some RuneQuest, lots of RPGA scenarios (I'm doing lots of Greyhawk) and even Paranoia (always good for a laugh).

The boards on the ConSupport website don't do a good job of selling the convention, I'd agree: but there's lots of stuff out on the con to suit most roleplayers.

Plus there's board gme demos and trading card games and minis and... stuff.

I'm going, the trip is a birthday present from my wife. And I'm looking forward to it.
