I'm the Straw Man in your argument
•Do any of you have expanded equipment lists?

The core book has plenty (of equipment,)but I would like a little more. I've been thinking about transporting in a few options from my copy of GURPS Low-Tech. I also still have a lot of old D&D 3.0 books.
A quick google search found this expanded equipment list. There are probably others:

•Have you tried running something like Pathfinder's Kingmaker with DCC?
No. I've run stitched together short modules a few times but I mostly do player-driven games. Lots of PCs deciding that they want to do and where to go next. So the idea of an Adventure Path just doesn't work.
•Do you use any homebrew races/classes? If so, what are they?
I've mostly stuck with the core races/classes. I have used the human-centric versions. You basically strip out the speed and vision/hearing bonuses and reflavor the dwarf, elf, and halfling. They become the Soldier, Cultist, and Pirate/Raider. It works a treat. The only thing to be careful of is keeping the lower likelihood of those three. The elf is broken. They should only come up the 10% of the time the book uses as default.

As with the equipment list, there's lots of homebrew stuff out there. It's just a matter of finding something that will work for you.

I only recently joined the band, but I am highly enjoying the experience.

My usual home setting has different races than the typical Dwarf, Elf, and Halfling breakdown, so I'm still figuring out how to create some of my own stuff.

Thank you for the response.

I asked about Kingmaker because of that particular adventure path's theme of carving something out of a rugged patch of land.

The group for whom I DMed (Judged?) the DCC Rulebook Funnel approached things a lot differently than I expected. They wanted to save Old Man Roberts (and I went with that idea).

I think he's supposed to be in the process of dying as he tells the PCs about the portal, but one of players rolled a healer as one of their Level-0s. Coincidentally, they also rolled a holy symbol as their random starting item. The player asked if she could say a prayer and then try to find something in the portal that might save Old Man Roberts.

Anyway... the point is that the group has taken an interest in improving the town and the surround area. I was surprised by how much the group embraced telling the various stories of their peasants and pieced together information about their home village.

I think they would enjoy some amount of settlement building and eventually growing their small village into a stronghold.

Thank you. I picked up a few issues from the store.

What (if any) is your favorite non-DCC resource to use with DCC?

On my end, I have some combination d10/d5s that are nice to keep in my dice bag. I suppose dice can be used for any game though.

I also have a copy of Basic Fantasy Roleplay
that I picked up because the PDF was free. I've never played it, but I figured that I might be able to use some of the equipment and creatures from it without too much work.

Also, what is your favorite DCC-specific product?

I was considering picking up the Kingdoms of Africa book.

I ordered one of the first-time fan kits. It's such a good deal that it was hard to pass up, even though I already had a copy of the core book.

No problem. I’m always glad to talk about DCC.

Absolutely. It could work great. I just have no experience with it.

Yeah. That’s common. Players go sideways real quick with DCC. It’s one of the reasons I love it. Same with many OSR games. Fewer rules seems to give players permission to go nuts. Which is awesome.

Players get really attached to their 0-level peasants. Especially if they have some narrow escapes before leveling.

Give it a shot. It could be a blast.

Just be careful of railroady story bits. DCC PCs have a tendency to blow up plots. Especially with magic and the weird as hell results that can come up.

Best bit of advice on that front is prepare to be amazed.
