The Soloist
Hero
I'm starting this thread to discuss SotWW as fans of the game. This is a [+] thread, so keep it helpful. Thank you.
Indeed, four stats is perfect - and it works with the four achetypes. I've seen 3 stats often but I find it one too few. I like two physical (Dex. Str) and two mental (Int. Wis) stats.I like the use of four stats. It may be an aesthetic that is a matter of taste, but I like it.
Build-a-Class is clever. My players like it with SotDL but the campaign ended because of a very disruptive player. He is long gone now. Next time I'm on the GM seat, I want to run SotWW.I like the Build-a-Class method of character creation.
My preference is more along the lines of Strength/Might, Dexterity/Agility, Intelligence, and Spirit. I prefer the latter over the common Will(power). Again, this is just a matter of personal taste.Indeed, four stats is perfect - and it works with the four achetypes. I've seen 3 stats often but I find it one too few. I like two physical (Dex. Str) and two mental (Int. Wis) stats.
As you might know, GURPS, Fantasy AGE and many other RPGs only use d6s.I admit, I thought that only using a d20 and d6 felt a little strange, and made a lot of things feel very samey.
