Last night, we bumped our PCs to 7th level to try out the Master path abilities in our final session and fought a CR 32 monster - monster scaling is different but that’s pretty tough. The spells and abilities are insane but it was still incredibly challenging. My death priest who could teleport adjacent to anyone who goes down in a fight felt really damn clutch.

Out of curiosity, have you played Shadow of the Demon Lord in that range? If so how different (if at all) did the two games feel to you?

I'm a fan of both this RPG and its Demon Lord predecessor, but sadly only ever ran 2 modules for the latter many years ago. If I ever start running games again besides D&D, SotWW/DL would be among my top picks.
