I will have to remember to create a Knowledge DC chart for when I introduce Ravensdale in my current adventure. Sounds like a good idea.

If it's for a particular adventure, you might save yourself some work by first taking a short survey of your PCs and seeing what knowledge skills they actually have. I doubt we'll overwhelm you with the extent of our studies! :)

Well, it probably depends on the character. If I have an Int-based caster, once I pass level 2, the all-important synergy level, I usually start taking 1 rank in a variety of Knowledge skills, figuring that since I'm pumping Int anyway, this way I'll be able to pick up DC 15 details and sometimes DC 20 or rarely DC 25 details :)

Rystil, get out of my head!

That's close to an idea I had with Ashnar - take the Open-Minded feat, and put those five skill ranks in five Knowledge skills. After all, a man with a Duty as Ashnar should know much.

I have a slight advantage in my guestimation: I'm *in* the adventure in question. Just did the quick survey, and our group has ranks in Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Religion), Knowledge (The Planes), and Knowledge (History.)

There would therefore be no point in including tables for Knowledge (Geography), Knowledge (Nobility & Royalty), Knowledge (Dungeoneering) etc. etc. unless the DC was in the "common knowledge" range.

Though I wouldn't have guessed one of my teammates was a historian, I must admit...

The only possible hink is if someone picks up a new knowledge skill on level up.

Yup, I figure Zaeryl should know a lot of random tidbits thanks to his ancient symbiont, though I am definitely not above 'Taking 0' on something that I know he doesn't know (for example: Zaeryl was offered a Knowledge Local or History check DC 10, which means it can be attempted untrained. He succeeded, so I read the SBLOCKed text, decided that he did not know the information, and have been playing that way since). Lasair, on the other hand, needs all her skill points for her interaction skills, so she won't get as much of a chance to explore the Knowledges, which is a bit of a pity.

I was referring to a chart more for use after the adventure, when Ravensdale's been established. As for Tor, Valan, Ragnikyr & Gideon, I have no illusions as to their intellectual & investigative abilities. ;)

Yup Tenebrynn is from the Orussus library. The most I have used it for is as a background setup. I have I think referred to an extensive selection of divination focused arcana, as well as local lore, history and the like. But I have definitely not gone into much detail.

Open-Minded isn't SRD is it?

Probably would pass approval anyway.
