Ok, started a new Festival thread. If you can leave the other one open, i'd appreicate it. Makes quoting and pulling things a bit easier.

BTW, I've had 2 missing players since the last time I awarded exp, should I not award them xp? How about gold since they are due gold?

Give them XP for any encounters for which the players were active, but not for when they were NPCed. As for time XP -- should they get it for up to the time they went missing? Or should players who abandon a game without notice not get any time XP for it? It's not an important question, since players who vanish like that usually don't ever return to LEW.

As for gold -- that's tangible. It's given in game, and their employer doesn't know who's a PC and who's an NPC. So as long as they've been fulfilling the duties for which they are being paid, he should pay them. (It is debatable whether Sunny qualifies by that standard, but have them get paid whatever money the *characters*, rather than the players, have earned.

I think DMs should be free NOT to award XPs per time spent adventuring if the PC is not posting. I think in general, they should not.

I disagree with this assessment. If the characters are contributing to the combat, you should be including them in the XP split, so why not actually give them the XP?

I think the matter should be decided by the DM and judge on a case by case basis. There are some combats when I npced characters but will be awarding them a full xp split, and others where if it ever became an issue I would give half xp at best.

Well, fortunately, there has been no combat, only RP XP, and they went missing around the time I last awarded time XP, so, I don't see any reason to award them any further XP at the current time.

Hey guys--quick question: What is known in terms of schools that train wizards? (I know of the Chromatic Order, but that's it) I would just invent one in a city, but since most of the cities near Orussus seem to be the pet projects of their creators, I don't want to step on any toes. I ask because a PC is looking for one.

Go nuts, make one up. There's plenty of room in many of the cities around Orussus, or even in Orussus for a magical school.

Earling seems like a good place for one in particular.

Here are some ideas for wizard schools.

The Chromatic Order was founded in the capital city of Medibaria (whatever it's named). But I don't think it's been established that the Order stayed in that city, or that it didn't establish branch locations in and around Medibaria. Other cities in the region are Brimbor, Alerve, and Tharol (the last of which is a fishing village that isn't in Medibaria proper).

Fallon has a College of Wizards, large, well-run, and reputable.

There is a college in Allimon, although it's entire campus may be the Allimon Exploration Company. We're not sure if it teaches wizarding, or is just an archeological outpost. Whatever it is, it is subservient to a larger, perhaps a "parent", organization in Orussus.
