Do I want the Lord of the Rings Monopoly Edition, or Risk Edition, or Trivial Pursuit Edition? Hell no!

Do I want to own Sting? Oh, you cruel and evil tempter, how can you even tease me with such a question?

Nonetheless, that's exactly what Hasbro is doing.

How about it? Anyone out there jonesing to buy these totally superfluous games in order to get in the sweepstakes for the coolest prizes ever?

(And yeah, I know you can do the whole SASE dealio to enter the sweepstakes, but honestly, who ever does that?)

actually, i love the sase game. i fequently send sase's to various companies asking for refrigerator magnets (i have a whole shpiel i send about my name being jarrett chedester and how i have the worlds largest free display of refrigerator magnets) i have some neat ones, aunt jemima in spanish, quaker oats in arabic...

it also works with 1-800 numbers. if they put a number on their packaging i call and ask. most times they send a magnet, coupons and sometimes free samples. it is a ball.

little debbie actually sent me a "frameable" certificate of good taste. in tiny print on the bottom it states "unfortunately this certificate does not entitle the ebarer to discounts or free product" :D

That's nice. And you know, I actually think Middle Earth Risk would be cool. Of course, a Middle Earth version of Axis and Allies would be even more cool...

Sweet! :D

How many magnets do you own, appoximately?

I would so be into a LoTR Axis and Allies myself. I'd pick up the Trivial Pursuit one, except that the result would be I find I know almost nothing about the boks after all. This happened with the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit, I thought I knew it pretty well till i played that game. :(

well, that is hard, maybe 40, but i keep giving them away to people who visit and take a shine to them.

if someone sees a magnet for a favorite product or some bit of tet they like i let them have it.

it isn't the having, it is the getting :)
