Anyone know where the word "Gish" comes from? I see it used here fairly often. Also noticed a poster named "Gish" posts here.

Thanks!

Gish = multiclassed githyanki, presumably a title evolved from and in respect for the original Gith. Equivalent IIRC to the githzerai term 'zerth'.

It was the term from the old fiend folio for Githyanki fighter/mages. It's sort of been generalized, it seems, to refer to the fighter/mage "combo" in general.
