Glass; Aluminum Can; Plastic - How do you like your soda/beer?

I can't drink from metal cans - makes me cough (somehow developed an allergy to metal - can't wear a watch, either).

But yeah, glass always tastes better to me. Probably not a difference from plastic though, but I always thought there was.

I agree, anything drank out of a can has a slightly metallic taste to it. There's probably movement of metal into solution due to the acids, or something like that. I don't really have a preference between glass and plastic.

I prefer glass, though I grew up* drinking beer out of cans.

I don't think I've had beer out of a plastic bottle yet.

* - Hey, it was Wisconsin. :D

When possible I drink soda from a glass bottle since it tastes better then soda from aluminum cans and its a hell of a lot better tasting then sodas from plastic bottles.

Glass bottles, hands down. They're the only thing you can get that don't have that vague plastic aftertaste (seeing as plastic-lined metal cans and plain old plastic bottles are the only other options in the developed world).

Glass for booze, soda, water, and in fact just about anything I'm drinking that's liquid. You can tell that it is more representative of the actual drink fairly easily. I still get enough soda in glass that is the same as what I get in cans and plastic bottles that it's pretty obvious to me. Classic colas, for example, must be ice-cold from the get go or be in a glass bottle for me to be able to drink them. However, that's pretty much just colas. I've had enough backpacking experience and drink enough warm soda from cans that I don't really care too much otherwise.

Metal cans just leave a metallic taste in my mouth when I drink something from them. Plastic's.. plasticky. Metal's better than plastic though; metal takes longer to have a noticeable effect, and the effect seems to go away when the liquid is cold. If a plastic even warms to room temperature for an hour, the effect is pretty dramatic in flavor to me. Metal takes 3-4 hours for full effect. Overall, I'd say the effect is minimal if you fridge your soda well and keep it fridged for storage, however.

Yep. that's basically one major reason for metal's effect on taste; plastic suffers the same problems too, depending on the chemical makeup of the plastic. Both are pretty easy to notice, depending on conditions. Try plain water left out in the sun for 3-4 hours, then do a blind taste test.
