First: 1,000th post.
Back in Dragon Annual 5, Monte Cook presented the first Prestige Class. I believe this because there are some tell-tale errors in terminology and set-up (They refer to "heroic" feats for example.) Nevertheless, it was a great class concept and a very unique take on an age old archtype: the gnome trickster.
The class was never reprinted in any other WotC material. While servicable today, I believe some corrections and tweaks are in order. The original problem is that the class doesn't give have enough focus or keep up the characters focus. It requires spellcasting and skill use, but doesn't improve spellcasting nor give enough skill points. Compared to the Arcane Trickster, it seems lean. This version attempts to correct this shortcoming.
REQUIREMENTS:
Race: Gnome
Skills: Bluff 7 ranks, Sleight of Hand 5 Ranks, Hide 3 Ranks
Feats: Combat Expertise
Spells: Able to Cast 1st level Arcane Spells of the Illusion School
HD: d6
Skills: Balance, Bluff, Escape Artist, Hide, Listen, Jump, Move Silently, Perform, Search, Sense Movtive, Sleight of Hand, and Tumble
Skill Points: 4 + Int
