Absolutely. I flushed 'em from my campaign years ago...and oddly enough, nobody complained.

Gnomes are awesome. I'm disappointed that WOTC would take gnomes away from the Player's Handbook to make room for tieflings as a PC race. That seems pretty silly.

BTW, did not mean to have the previous post come off as much of a thread crap as it did. MM is honestly a good place for them. Accessable for those who feel they have a place in their game, and distant enough from the players where the DM does not have to have the burden of removing PHB material from his game.

I think the addition of tieflings is cheesy and just an attempt to cater to the "I wanna be a demon/devil!" crowd.

You do realize that the gnome stats in the MM will be propaganda put forth specifically by the Trust to lull the others races into a false set of complacency, right? Even though the Trust, of course, does not exist. And is simultaneously also your friend. Really.

Gnomes are a major part of my current campaign, and an important part of my game world. Yet another reason why I will not be switching to 4e. Heck, I have two players who want to play gnomes if their current characters die. Couldn't do that in 4e.

Change, just for the sake of change, is dumb, if you ask me.
