its really sad that things are to the point when all the OP asks is if there are a more dedicated 3E board and he gets jumped on. He didnt even say i 3e was better then 4ed :/

I agree. I've waded into the debate myself, but it seems like some people are on a hair trigger when it comes to edition wars.

I think that asking for links to a "good" 3x forum in a forum that has been the second largest and most active 3x community for the better part of a decade implies that the OP doesn't think it is "good".

The hyperbole about ENWorld being almost all 4e discussion pretty much cinched it, I imagine.

It's tantamount to walking into a restaurant and saying "Excuse me! Could you give me directions to a good place to eat!" and then following with "Since you rarely serve edible food here anymore!" :(

Yes its a sad day when even the Mods and or administrators can't stay out of it and start calling out people for crying etc.

Dragonsfoot, I think.
Cheers.

Regarding the 4E/3E thing, I think it's more like walking into a restaurant and asking if there's a non-smoking section to eat in, and being savaged for it.

Didn't mean to cause any flames. I usually go to the forums via the main page, as I read the news before the forums. However, there are no 3e forum links on the main page anymore. I didn't realize that I needed to go to messageboards and then to 3e forums.

As for 4e vs 3e, I prefer 3e. If people like 4e, more power to them. I'm a bit too old to be the target audience anymore, as I really just don't want to learn a new system. I've specifically been avoiding the 4e threads, as I also noticed a lot more partisanship (for both systems) than I care for. I will still read the 3e forums here, now that I know how to find them, though I will also be checking out Paizo ;).

Except that he didn't come here and ask if there was a 3x discussion forum on site -- he started a thread that asked if people here could provide links to "good 3x discussion forums" and then followed up by saying that there was almost nothing but 4e discussion here. So, no, it's not really like that at all ;)

Sorry I didn't phrase my post too well. I forgot how pedantic most board readers are. ;)
