Bad news - natural 20 on the dispel check vs shield, so it's gone too.

Bird-Man, whose real name is Squawk, thank you very much, will lower to 30Z and send a lightning bolt down the pike (medium range for lightning, right?).

Another lightning bolt will come from the western edge of the arena.

[sblock]Hurrycane will cast the CL 12 version of chain lightning and retreat to 30N0E. Lothir's buff TBD.[/sblock]

Hald dodges the brunt of both, taking 12 from Squawk's and 20 from the unseen assailant. Hald can tell the larger bolt came from 60n0e0z. Hald has 167 hp left.

Hald's turn.

OOC: to my surprise, lightning bolt has a fixed 120 ft range, which is sufficient for this purpose. I have to wonder if that's an error on d20srd.org. I would have sworn it was medium as well.

Squawk will try magic missiles this time.

[sblock]Hurrycane will move up to 70N0E and cast a wall of force running from 115N45E to 85N45E, 20 feet tall. Lothir will buff with protection/evil last round, and chill touch on a claw this round.[/sblock]

Just like the dragon ordered - the missiles fizzle on contact like little sparklers.

Gansk, 1 question:

Now that I know to be smarter about thin things - west edge of those squares, east edge of those squares, or right down the middle?

Infiniti, Hald's turn in the bottom of Round 37 can procede, though resolution of his move may theoretically require me knowing Gansk's answer.

Does Hald not blindsense anything within the victory zone? If not he graciously accepts the win and does this ...

...while waiting for the next Good combatant. Hopefully, the ring of blades will be dispelled.

I think you're off by one. This is probably because I hadn't put good, bold Round markers on my resolutions. Hald landed on Round 34, so at the completion of his move on Round 38 he'll get the win.

However, I also just realized that an aspect of Good's move would cause an effect to be sensed by Hald, so let's wait on Gansk's clarification of his move and then Hald should take his turn.

Gansk, to expand on my oblique comment above:
[sblock]
Since the wall of force is opaque to blindsense (since Hald will no longer have line of effect to the other side of the force wall, then my understanding is that he'll know the spatial boundaries of the wall.
