From the Quintessential Bard II

Butterfly (I hate the name) - Can move through society, sensing hidden links between people and influencing those connections
Fatesinger - able to affect the elusive concept of fate
Interloper - sort of an adventuring troubleshooter
Magister - bards with a greater focus on magical studies
Planar Envoy - mediation and diplomacy in the outer planes
Shadow Puppeteer - puppetmaster
Storyteller - tales given true form
Vocaliser - sonic attacks
Wanderer - travelling to where he is needed most

Bards no longer suck with the right resources.

yeah I find Butterfly a pretty good bard class. as soon as I read it I actually changed out a different bard PrC class for it. I'm looking forward to using it in a more urban setting in a bit.

Most of these Bard PRC seem to have one of 2 weaknesses:
1) They grant a non-stacking spell progression, like no spells at all (Arcana Archer, if you see it as a Bard PrC), or have their own progression.
2) They grant a stacking spell progression, that is not limited to Bard spellcasting.

The first one simply sucks, the second one usually benefits sorcerer/rogues or similar classes more than the bard itself. Full bard spellcasting isn´t that great compared to the alternatives...
