What exactly is an adventure for '0-level characters'?

I have the DCC that is a 0 level module. Basically, the PCs are 1st level NPC classes - warrior, expert, adept, aristocrat. I think if they're commoners they can be 2nd level. The challenges are about right for that level of power (if you can call it power).

This setting looks intriguing, but at the moment I can't really afford the price tag, especially after Ptolus (even at $10 a month I have to count it against my gaming budget)
