Goodman Games joins the high-priced market...

The first thing I thought when I saw the name "Aereth" was "Oh, cool! They even did the old school thing and chose a name that is a variation of Earth."

I have a feeling I was not the only one.

Ditto. I was pleasently surprised as well.

..Aereth is in no way "Earth". It is not pronounced the same nor is it a word for Earth in a different language. Its only similarity is that it shares some of its letters.

Only similarity? Well, figuring that it is the exact same letters with one extra "e" added and the first two letters switched places, it's pretty damn close. In fact, I'd hazard a guess that there are more than one home brews with that exact same spelling.

I have full intentions of publishing my CS but its been a bit slow due to the fact I am one lone person working on it and a lack of publisher. When I found Lulu, I saw a brighter future. Now it just looks a bit dimmer.
This is the smallest possible hurdle to publishing. A search/replace in the document(s) to change it will solve the problem. Yes, it's a recalibration of your mental picture of the world, but it's only a very slight one.

But that is not even the point.

I in no way blame Goodman Games for coming up with it. Just kinda sad that they got to use the name first in publishing.

You could name it Oereth.

I'm funny.

I create my own campaign world, so I don't purchase campaign products...but I'm picking this one up. I guess that should say something.

Ever since the GenCOn Dungeon Crawl Classics tournament (hands down, the best and most enjoyable D&D tournament I've ever participated in), I've been a big fan of the DCC product lines.

I'll have to check this out. I'm looking for a setting to overrun with demons and devils for a possible new campaign, and this looks like as good a victim^H^H^H candidate as any!
