Got my PHB3

Sorry. It is in response to the first invasion of the Far Realm. Either it is energies from the Far Realm that has changed people or it is this realities response to the Far Realm and getting rid of it. There is a small theme of psionics defending the world against the threats of the Far Realm.
Sounds fairly close to the Eberron treatment. The defending thing is very similar to kalashtar.

Casters certainly like their Superior Implements, that's for sure. I haven't read much of it yet, but that feat was taken faster than you could spell *awesome*.

I also got Hammerfast, and I am actually looking more forward to read that.

From a DM point of view I was underwelmed by the PHBII. I scanned through it and didn't find a lot to grab me.

Do you think it is worth getting just for the fluff?

Hey Crothian, I asked a couple of questions in the other thread that went unanswered. Would you mind filling me in please? :)

I'm wondering what the heroic and paragon minotaur feats look like. I'd also like to know what the Skill Power feat does - are there restrictions on it?

Has somebody here got an account on RPGnet to pass on the queries? :)

(I now know what the Skill Power feat does, I'd still like to know about its prerequisites though.)

Thanks!

Could you post some information on the Runepriest's fluff and how they differentiate themselves from the Cleric? Is the Runepriest successful in carving out its own place as a Divine Leader or does it step on the toes of the Str based Cleric?

 they just weakened the Str cleric in the last errata, so the runepriest has less competition...

Buy the book and read it! :D

how strange - that is the *exact* rationale I used for psionics in my 3e campaign nearly a decade ago!

I have a two questions:

1. It seemed strange to me when I first heard that the monk was going to have the psionic power source. Now you see it all in context, do you think it fits well?

2. How do the hybrid classes look?

Sort of ironic that Psionics' rationale overlaps and overtakes the rationale for Primal in some ways. Moreover, in Eberron it was explicitly the Druids/Primals that fended off the great invasion of the Far Realm (Xoriat). (Yes I know Eberron is not the 'core' assumption of the 4e ruleset.

I like having a focused story for certain power sources, but I'll be a little careful in how I integrate Psionics into my own campaign -- plot wise.

C.I.D.
