Durgal wakes early in the morning prior to the sun rising. He spends the better part of an hour praying to Kord. Once he is done, he goes down to the meeting area and orders breakfast as he is the only one there. When Zhure comes down, Durgal nods and motions for him to sit if he wishes. Once all the group is assembled, the half-orc listens to Zhure and nods his head. "Yes, if you can do this teleport, I'm sure it will take us a less amount of time. I have been blessed with this ability as well to some degree. However, if this will not work Kord has still given me the ability to get us there by walking on the wind."

OOC:
Are we still restricted on spells, or now that you're here did you want us to just get there? If so, then he can do wind walk. If not, then Durgal wil use anything to help.

Zagrim

Zagrim replies: "Shadow Walk will allow us to move as a group very rapidly, and with almost no chance of being seen or interrupted. We'd be traveling on the border of the Plane of Shadow under our own power. It's not really faster than Wind Walking, but it's far stealthier and will allow us to get very close to our target before we're compromised."

Shadow Walk equates to a flat 42 mph.

Luna joins the others in the common room. She listens carefully to what the others have to say before commenting. "Either method seem efficient, but I think that the stealthy method is the best way to approach an unknown evil."

Zagrim

"Then gather 'round, denizens of good, and we'll be on the Plane's edge and on our way -- as soon as you've cast any preparatory spells."

Zagrim waits until everyone indicates they're ready.

OOC: All methods of travel are approved, but I just need to know one thing (can't reach my books right now) does shadowwalk protect you from all creatuers, are can you be attacked by being on the plane or shadows or something else?

Shadow Walk
Illusion (Shadow)
Level: Sor/Wiz 7
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Targets: Up to one touched creature/level
Duration: 1 hour/
level (D)
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes
To use the shadow walk spell, the character must be in an area of heavy shadows. The character and any creature the character touches are then transported along a coiling path of shadowstuff to the edge of the Material Plane where it borders the Plane of Shadow. The effect is largely illusory, but the path is quasi-real. The character can take more than one creature along with the character (subject to the character's level limit), but all must be touching each other.
In the region of shadow, the character can move at a rate of up to seven miles every 10 minutes, moving normally on the borders of the Plane of Shadow but much more rapidly relative to the Material Plane. Thus, a character can use this spell to travel rapidly by stepping onto the Plane of Shadow, moving the desired distance, and then stepping back onto the Material Plane. The character knows where the character will come out on the Material Plane.
Shadow walk can also be used to travel to other planes that border on the Plane of Shadow, but this requires the potentially perilous transit of the Plane of Shadow to arrive at a border with another plane of reality. The transit of the Plane of Shadow requires 1d4 hours.
Any creatures touched by the character when shadow walk is cast also make the transition to the borders of the Plane of Shadow. They may opt to follow the character, wander off through the plane, or stumble back into the Material Plane (50% chance for either of the latter results if they are lost or abandoned by the character). Creatures unwilling to accompany the character into the Plane of Shadow receive a Will saving throw, negating the effect if successful.

OOC: I don't see anything that prevent you from getting attacked by denizens of the plane of shadows, so just let me know when all are ready, and keep your weapons at hand...

OOC: I've always assumed the line saying "Shadow walk can also be used to travel to other planes that border on the Plane of Shadow, but this requires the potentially perilous transit of the Plane of Shadow to arrive at a border with another plane of reality" implies that using Shadow Walk to travel along the boundry of the Prime (as we are doing) isn't perilous, but that using it to travel to other planes is perilous.

Armed with this information, does the group still want to Shadow Walk? /OOC
