[GP:H] A Game of Opposites: The Heroes IC (Villains Stay Out!)

"Hail, Mighty one." Sir Justin greets the new arrival "I do not beleive he will need any more assistance, and he doesn't appear in need of magical aid. As far as I can tell he is merely exhausted.. er.. we may want to get him off the floor, though." He scratches his head and looks down at the body, then shrugs as he moves to grab one end of the dwarf, looking expectantly at the follower of Kord to grab the other end. "Granny Nelly, can we have a room for the man until he awakens?" He smiles in thanks to her as granny motions them to a back room, where he does his best to make the dwarf comfortable before leaving himin Granny's capable hands and returning with Durgal to the main conversation.

OOC: Tim said it's "Granny Nelly's place" so I assumed 'Granny Nelly' is the proprietor, and since he said to control the NPCs until he could get back to us..

Durgal looks at Zagrim. "Why are you wanting to use this Phantom Steed? Oh, this must be in regards to the journey that I heard of. Well, I guess all this depends on how we're traveling. What is our destination?"

OOC:
Durgal has a spell that is a bit faster than Pahtom Steed. However I do believe that we're traveling through the underdark and I don't know if it will work. If somebody wants to look up "Wind Walk" and give me their opinion on whether it will work or not, that would be cool w/ me.
 

OOC:
Depends on how many of us are going.. It'll work on up to 6 people with a lvl 16 caster, so if 6 or less of us (5 Plus you) are going, that would be fantabulacular, though we'll have to go through the Underdark.

It would last for 16 hours.. You'ld have to cast it every day, then we can stop for 8 hour nights.
damn, that's just about a perfect spell, why the hell didn't I think of that?

Go ahead and propose it before he starts wasting spells on phantoms.

a steed or fly i don't care how we get therre but i think we still must get there the fastest we can.

OoC: just to let you guys know ill be gone for the weekend and will be back monday.
 

Durgal looks as though he's trying very hard to remember something. With almost a confused look on his face, he speaks up again. "Well, if we're needing to get somewhere, then I could get us there pretty quick. We will be able to ride the winds provided to us by Kord! Although, I must rest for the night as I think it would be best to clear my head. "
 

OOC: Phantom Steed lasts the same 16 hours, but gives a fly speed of 240. :) Either way, if we fly, Zagrim will use the phantom steed, even though it takes longer to cast.
 

OOC: Don't wanna sound meta-gamey, but Wind Walk gives a move speed of anywhere from as fast as 600 Feet/round to as slow as 5 feet/round. I'ld assume that you mages would KNOW that wind walking is more than twice as fast as phantom steed, lasts the same length of time, and takes 1/100th of the time to cast.

After some consideration, Zagrim speaks up. "If you don't mind waiting, I'll still cast a Phantom Steed for myself."

Phantom Steed creates a critter, so it can hustle, giving it an aggregate move of 72 mph, better than wind walk. Besides, (1) we aren't supposed to get there too soon anyway and (2) it's a style thing. :)
