Grant Save to Breal Set Time Conditions?

The bard in my group is playing very much of a support role. She spends her time either controlling or helping his teammates. Something which has annoyed the player is that you can break a supposedly "long-lasting" save-ends effect (for example, by using a Heal check to grant a saving throw), but not an effect with a set duration (such as "until the end of the creature's next turn".

My question is, would allowing this harm the game? If someone grants a save, should that save be allowed to preemptively end a condition that normally has a set (but short) duration?

In most cases, 'until end of next turn' is intended to be a lesser effect to save ends. For example, ancient blue dragons stun until end of next turn... but on a crit, do save ends. Clearly intended to be an upgrade.

That said, so often in the game it works out to be a lesser effect due to getting saves and it ending at the end of your turn instead of its turn, and so on, that ENT has become preferred. Especially by players against elites and solos.

So yeah, I think it'd help the game personally. I'd suggest not letting it work on marks, though.

The Radio Free Hommlett people have a house rule a "save ends" effect lasts until the end of imposer's turn, even if it is saved against prior to that.

Does help make saves end the better of the two durations, though in a way that is likely to annoy the bard in the original post even more so.

Not sure how I feel about such a rule myself...
