Greater Magic Weapon on Wands?

Can you cast (greater) magic weapon on a wand to get +x to hit with a touch or ranged touch attack effect with the wand?

If not why not?

Would it be possible to instead cast (greater) magic fang on yourself to increase chance to hit with your personal touch attack spells?

I don't think either is possible under the rules - a wand isn't a weapon, and a ranged touch attack isn't an unarmed strike.
