Greatest Character Showdown Round 4 (Results IN)

He's no "mere man". He's the greatest hand to hand combat specialist, greatest detective, greatest all around human period. Given enough time and preparation, he can beat anyone, even immortals.

Morrus,

You are silly, silly man.

Req,

See this is why I like a man with common sense.

*cheers Starman* Thank you!!!

Heh. It was a tough vote. Superman and Batman are the epitome of superheroes to me and both have always been my favorite. However, in the end I had to go with the Dark Knight.

8. Captain Jack Sparrow - The only person Kenobi truely defeated was Darth Maul and maybe General Grevious (as a result of his batteries running down allowing Obi Wan to get a lucky shot).

Wrong-Kenobi defeated Vader. When Vader struck him down, Kenobi become 1000 times more powerful than he could possibly imagine. It was the ultimate doom for Vader.

1. Gollum vs. Odysseus
2. Buffy Summers vs. Captain Malcolm “Mal” Reynolds
3. Gandalf vs. Robin Hood
4. Conan vs. Sherlock Holmes
5. Han Solo vs. Tarzan
6. Indiana Jones vs. Yoda
7. Batman vs. Superman
8. Captain Jack Sparrow vs. Obi-Wan Kenobi

1. Gollum - first Sociopath
2. Buffy Summers - okay so I only ever saw one episode of firefly
3. Robin Hood - another Sociopath
4. Conan - Irony yes.
5. Tarzan - Hans' kewl but the King of the Jungle has been my favourite since childhood - is he sociopath or hero? maybe both?
6. Indiana Jones - well Han went down but at least Indy made it:)
7. Batman - the brooding sociopath is always more fun than the hyperpowered boy scout
8. Captain Jack Sparrow - um ditto:)

Not judging these on whether they were heroes but on their 'entertainment' factor

Having missed voting on Rounds Two and Three owing to being on holiday, time to get back into this:

1. Gollum vs. Odysseus
2. Buffy Summers vs. Captain Malcolm “Mal” Reynolds
3. Gandalf vs. Robin Hood
4. Conan vs. Sherlock Holmes
5. Han Solo vs. Tarzan
6. Indiana Jones vs. Yoda
7. Batman vs. Superman
8. Captain Jack Sparrow vs. Obi-Wan Kenobi

I don't count Kinobe's "I'll turn into a force so that you can't kill me" a true victory. If anything that was a glorified act of cowardous since Kinobe knew he couldn't defeat Vader which is why he used that power when he did. The only person that could really claim to have truly defeated Vader was the Emperor. The emperor helped turn Anakin to the darkside, broke his will, and then killed him (the force lightning's effect on Vader's suit was what killed Vader). Kinobe and Luke were only trying to redeem Vader so they can't be given credit for his defeat, only his redemption.
